Aces in Motion announces “AIM for the Stars” gala featuring Broadway performer Trista Dollison
Press release from Aces in Motion
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Aces in Motion will host its annual AIM for the Stars Gala on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention in Gainesville.
This year’s gala will feature a special performance by Broadway performer Trista Dollison. The evening will bring together community leaders, businesses, families, and supporters to celebrate Gainesville’s young people and invest in their continued success.
Aces in Motion has established a goal of raising $100,000 through the gala. Funds raised will directly support year-round programming for local students, including academic assistance, literacy and math tutoring, college and career preparation, mentoring, tennis and other athletic activities, enrichment opportunities, leadership development, and educational experiences beyond the classroom.
“This gala is about more than one evening—it is about creating opportunities that can change the direction of a young person’s life,” said Dr. Vincent M. Miller II, Executive Director of Aces in Motion. “When our community invests in young people, we help them see possibilities, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.”
Aces in Motion uses academics, athletics, mentoring, and relationship-centered programming to help students grow as scholars, leaders, and community members. The organization works alongside families, schools, funders, and community partners to ensure that Gainesville youth have access to meaningful support and opportunities.
The AIM for the Stars Gala is supported by community partners, including the Children’s Trust of Alachua County, USTA Florida, Coaching for Life Beyond the Court, CBS4, NBC9, My11, and the John and Kathy Kish Family Charitable Fund.
