Alachua man charged with inappropriately touching 13-year-old girl

ALACHUA, Fla. – Dustin Adam Zamzow, 38, was arrested on April 10 and charged with inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl.

In the fall of 2024, the 13-year-old victim was walking down the road when she encountered Zamzow. She had known Zamzow for years, and she agreed to go with him to pick up some pizza.

On the drive, Zamzow reportedly told her to sit in his lap so she could drive, and he allegedly touched her genitals over her clothes. On the way home, he again allegedly told her to sit in his lap and touched her under her bra.

Before they got out of his vehicle, Zamzow allegedly told her that if anyone asked her questions about the trip, she should not tell anyone that he touched her because he could go to jail.

Formal charges were filed on April 4, and a warrant was issued for Zamzow’s arrest a few days later.

Zamzow has been charged with lewd/lascivious behavior with a victim under the age of 16. He has two misdemeanor convictions for stalking. He was initially held without bail after the State Attorney’s office argued that he poses a threat of harm to the community; the motion also states that prosecutors learned of a similar alleged incident from New York with an 8-year-old victim when Zamzow was 15 years old. However, Judge William Davis ordered him released on his own recognizance with requirements for a GPS monitor and no unsupervised contact with minors, including his own children.
