American Nephrology Nurses Association donates funds and provides information about kidney disease at GRACE Marketplace
Press release from the American Nephrology Nurses Association, North Central Florida Chapter 209
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Today, GRACE Marketplace received a donation from the American Nephrology Nurses Association, North Central Florida Chapter 209. The check is part of the association’s “Feed Your Kidneys” program, designed to improve the diet of patients with kidney disease. Community Engagement Coordinator Cesar Zamora, who received the $1,000 check, said that the money would be used to improve meals for at-risk guests at the facility.
Ana Perryman, president-elect of the chapter, has specialized in dialysis and kidney work for 38 years. She explained the importance of diet: “They need protein first, and specific vegetables and fruits. Diabetes is the number one cause of kidney failure, so we want to keep their blood sugars stable.”
During the morning, nurses were joined by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 4th Branch to help organize community donations, including piles of clothing, linen, and towels. The nurses also provided preventative kidney disease education.

What kind of diet are they trying to change? You mean their steady willful diet of alcohol, meth, THC, cocaine? Money well spent? Perhaps good virtue signaling that somehow you ‘care’? Healthy diets? Good luck with that.
“When I am sharply judgmental of any other person, it’s because I sense or see reflected in them some aspect of myself that I don’t want to acknowledge.”
― Gabor Maté, In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters with Addiction
Thank you nurses!
How caring! Let’s pose in a group photo to legitimize lawyers exploiting the poor in the woods by GRACE, while we warn them on what drugs, alcohol and junk food does to their kidneys. But lawyers are being fed well.
Maybe their time would be well spent standing outside a Walmart on any given day counseling the overweight out of shape obese people that never considering dieting to protect their kidneys. You wonder if a woke politician encourage that group to go Grace Marketplace.
