ASO says shooting death on Sunday was an act of self-defense

Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Sheriff’s Office says yesterday’s shooting death is believed to be an act of self-defense.
The Sheriff’s Office posted yesterday on its social media accounts that deputies were investigating a shooting death in the 7700 block of SW 4th Place and that the shooter had been detained.
ASO Captain Chris Sims told Alachua Chronicle that the shooter, an adult female, lived in the home where the incident took place and was transported to ASO Headquarters for an interview. After interviewing the suspect and several witnesses, both from within the home and from neighboring homes, detectives concluded that the shooting was an act of self-defense. Crime Scene Investigators also collected several items of evidence that provided a more clear picture of the events that preceded the shooting.
Detectives also consulted with the State Attorney’s office, which agreed with their preliminary conclusion, before releasing the woman. Detectives are still investigating the incident and will provide a final report to the State Attorney’s office for review.
Good for her if it’s substantiated that domestic abuse the cause for such action.
The world has no need for PsOS who abuse women and children.
Good riddance.
Way to use your 2nd Amendment rights. If more people would take this route instead of being a victim, G-ville would be a safer place
Grew up in a situation where this should have been the answer, but. . .
Thank you again, detectives! Don’t let the State lawyers overrule you, either. Just because they were salivating for another capital offense…. 👹🤡👿💩👺
