Desantis or Byron Donalds the next GOV of FLA should do something about the at large seats
Byron Donalds is a puppet which is why the party rammed him through with TV propaganda and zero debates. He’s the establishments candidate. He’s a weak man and isn’t remotely in control of his platform. He’s the black Jeb Bush.

It really is a sad state of affairs when only 27% of voters show up for local elections, and 80% of those vote as they’ve been told. One hundred percent of those want a bunch of fiscally incompetent $0ci@li$t$ in control of their taxes.

Bottom line is that with a UPC for county commission district 2 republicans should have voted like a tidal wave but didn’t. Stop complaining.

Personally, I think anyone who hasn’t exercised their right to vote in at least two consecutive elections should lose that right, similar to someone who commits a crime with a firearm. If you want to vote again, you should have to pass an exam on politics and the effects of $0ci@li$m and communism.
If you’re not gonna use it, you lose it.
Republicans voted in nearly the same proportion as Dems, but with 5 Dem candidates, there was no obvious conservative choice, so their votes were split over multiple candidates.

I wish Jake would do just a modicum of research. The seat that was decided was retiring commissioner Wheeler’s in an open primary with four democrats running.
Instead,he pictures Ken Cornell who is still actively running and will be on the ballot in November.
And just a reminder, 2024 was a single member district election and the incumbents won.
Cornell’s name tag says “BOCC” – as the chair, he represents the board.
People need to have a little bit of understanding about how political cartoons work instead of jumping to defend their team…

The more clever choice would have been to use someone involved in the outcome of the race that was decided.
You seem to be intentionally missing the point. The existing commission put a measure on the next election after single member was passed – and Cornell was the one who brought it up to the BOCC. We all know that’s because he would have lost his primary in 2014 if it had not been at large, and he is the most vulnerable to an east side primary challenge in a single member system. Certain and her opponents had nothing to do with the campaign to restore at large districts, but Cornell and the current BOCC spearheaded it.
I wish he’d do a picture on a county employee who leaves in a county vehicle, has an accident in South Florida, comes back and gets a promotion.
Would that county employee be the same ‘Mark’ who commented above?
