City of Alachua Great American Cleanup event to be held on May 4

ALACHUA, Fla. – The City of Alachua will hold its annual Great American Cleanup event on Saturday, May 4, starting at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate, with projects available for all skill sets.

Breakfast will be provided for all participants beginning at 8 a.m., and lunch will be available at the conclusion of the event. Trash bags, safety vests, gloves, maps, instructions, and other tools will also be provided.
