City of Alachua to host 22nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration

ALACHUA, Fla. – The City of Alachua invites its citizens and neighboring communities to join in celebrating Independence Day at the “Largest Small-Town Fireworks Display in America.” The City will host its 22nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration on Monday, July 4th, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Legacy Park (15400 Peggy Rd).

This event is packed with a plethora of exciting entertainment and immense fun this year, as there is something for people of all ages to do! Kids can enjoy themselves at the Kids Corner, where there will be bounce houses and various other fun activities. Beginning at 6 p.m., live music from Uncle Morty’s Rhythm Cream will provide the attendees with one of the best blends of Soul, R&B, Rock, and danceable music. A variety of vendors will be selling delicious food for the enjoyment of the guests. And last, but not least, a dazzling half-hour fireworks display will kick off at 9:30 p.m. and close out the wonderful night of celebration!

Additionally, parking for the event is FREE and attendees are encouraged to bring a friend, their lawn chairs, and blankets for what is sure to be a glorious night to remember!
