Dreamers Garden to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11 with community remembrance
Press release from Maria Huff Edwards
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On Friday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m., Dreamers Garden will host a community gathering to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks and to remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives that day.
The gathering will take place at Dreamers Garden, 920 NW 4th Street, Gainesville, Florida 32601.
This year’s remembrance will have a particularly personal focus: honoring Adam P. Arias and Susan L. Blair, two of those who died at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Both are listed among the victims of the attacks; Arias was killed in the South Tower, where the 9/11 Memorial records his name at S-31.
Arias and Blair were beloved friends of Dreamers Garden neighbor Wimberly “Bob” Long, who wishes to honor their memory on this 25th anniversary.
The remembrance will provide an opportunity for neighbors and friends to pause together, remember those who were lost, and reflect on the enduring importance of friendship, community, and remembrance.
Members of the community are welcome to join this quiet act of remembrance.
