SUMMARY:Westwood Middle School presents "The Replica Murder"
DESCRIPTION:On April 24th\, 25th\, and 26th\, the Westwood Spring\nMusical will take the stage at Westwood Middle School\n(using that term lightly since they are in a transitional\nspace on campus this year again until the new stage is\navailable next year).  When the students started giving\ninput at the end of last year on the title for the spring\nshow this year\, they decided on a “murder\, mystery\,\nmusical that included dinosaurs.” \nA tall order and one\nnot found anywhere in the various publisher offerings.\nThis left the idea of writing an original musical\, which is\nnot a new concept for the program.  Westwood Theatre\nis in its sixth year of performing original\, jukebox-style\nmusicals.  “The Replica Murders came from a desire to\ninclude dinosaurs and so the show is set at a museum\,”\nexplains Westwood’s theatre teacher Amy MacCord\,\nwho is also the playwright responsible for the script.  “In\nthis museum\, all the pieces displayed are copies (or\n“replicas”) of famous displays in other museums.”
