FDOT announces nighttime closures on NE Waldo Road next week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Milling and resurfacing on NE Waldo Road (State Road 24) from University Avenue (State Road 26) to north of 39th Avenue (State Road 222) is scheduled to begin early next week. Work will take place during nighttime hours from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Motorists should expect intermittent nighttime lane closures throughout the project area.

LEOs can’t seem to keep the panhandlers off that roadway, maybe FDOT will be more successful.
