Gainesville man arrested for burglary and stalking
BY JENNIFER CABRERA
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Matthew Seimer, 24, was arrested early this morning and charged with stalking and burglary after allegedly lurking around the residence of a former girlfriend and kicking in the door of her residence.
The victim told a Gainesville Police Department officer that she had made it clear to Seimer that she no longer wanted to have any contact with him, but he continued to try to contact her and lurked outside her window to try to talk to her. She said she tried to ignore all his attempts to contact her.
The victim told officers she became concerned for her safety due to Seimer’s “continued harassment,” and at about 4:00 a.m. this morning, he was arrested after allegedly kicking in the door and entering her residence.
Seimer has no local criminal history; bail is not available on weekends.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Wish Topher Grace 🤣🤣
Kicked her door in? Sounds like “I feared for my life” defense. Problem solved and no love lost.
It’s time for law abiding citizens of Gainesville and Alaucha County to get a gun learn how to use it and defend themselves or anyone else who is being attacked learn florida’s SYG law
Another case of “I’m too goodlooking to get a job and pay bills, you need me syndrome” perhaps?
He should know the relationship is definitely over now and stay away…She should move and change her phone #.
That scary.
