Gainesville man arrested for sexual battery on woman who agreed to meet him to watch a movie

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Moses Skillon, 31, was arrested yesterday and charged with sexual battery after a woman told police that he raped her.
A Gainesville Police Department officer made contact with the victim at a hospital, where she had gone to get a sexual assault kit and report the incident. The victim told the officer that she had known Skillon for about two days and that he had messaged her Friday night on Instagram and asked her to come over to his apartment. She asked what they would do, and he reportedly said they would watch a movie.
The victim told the officer that as soon as she entered Skillon’s bedroom at about 12:30 a.m. on February 25, he closed and locked the door and started kissing and hugging her from behind. She said he then raped her for about 10 minutes, while she tried to push him off and repeatedly told him no.
The victim said that after Skillon ejaculated into a condom, he flushed the condom down the toilet; when she tried to leave, Skillon allegedly blocked the door and asked her why she was leaving. She said she was able to get past him, and he followed her to the door of the apartment, where he stopped after she told him to stop following her. She reportedly walked back to her apartment and then went to the hospital.
Officers made contact with Skillon at his apartment and arrested him. Post Miranda, he reportedly admitted having sex with the victim but said it was consensual; he also admitted that she seemed upset and wanted to quickly leave after they had sex.
Skillon has no criminal history besides a withheld adjudication for driving without a valid license in 2019; bail information is unavailable on weekends.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Don’t know the whole story here but it may be a case of “she said, he said.”
It goes without saying, “if you’re going to have sexual relations with a date – better protect yourself with more than a condom.”
May need a signed consent form as well.
Children do not have sex. Pedophiles should not manipulate kids. Hood taking over. Click clack zoom ✌🏾
Ummmm yeah. In no place in the article does it imply she’s a minor.
I used to work with this guy I quit and he was part of the reason I did he would find me and corner me all the time
Worked with him as well he would stalk young women all the time and would corner my coworkers and sneak up an hug girl from behind with no warning and not even knowing who he is I’m glad he’s locked up and my girls are safe at work
This doesn’t make sense. So you telling me you didn’t want to have sex with him but you allowed him time to put on a condom!? You have time to put on a condom to rape somebody!?
Why go 12:30 am to watch a movie hmmm
Don’t believe this at all….sad…she lied on the man
