Governor announces vaccine availability to 60+ starting March 15

Press release from the Office of Governor DeSantis

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 21-62 (Amending Executive Order 20-315 – Vaccine Administration/Protecting Florida’s Seniors), which takes effect on Monday, March 15, 2021.

Executive Order 21-62 expands COVID-19 vaccination in Florida to include the following:

During this first phase of vaccine administration, all providers administering any COVID-19 vaccine shall only vaccinate the following populations:

  • Long-term care facility residents and staff;
  • Persons 60 years of age and older;
  • Health care personnel with direct patient contact;
  • K-12 school employees 50 years of age and older;
  • Sworn law enforcement officers 50 years of age and older; and
  • Firefighters 50 years of age and older.

  • Let’s see how many who cried about not going back to work until a vaccine was available will now choose to not only say the vaccine isn’t effective but will also choose to not go back to work. I would be willing to bet that 55 – 65% of eligible individuals in county and city government will not only opt out of the vaccine but will also use lack of getting the vaccine as an excuse. Stay tuned…

    • 1. If you take the vaccine, do you still have to wear a mask?
      2. Do the “forces that be” want everyone on the planet to receive a shot and will they make you
      provide proof ( i.e., health passport) if you want to travel?
      3. Is wearing face masks and getting vaccine shots the “new normal”?
      4. In the future, will they know that you’ve had the shot through bluetooth & wi-fi because of the things in the shot?…

      • CDC says,

        My personal opinion… vaccinations will be required.
        Health Passport…probably so.
        Face masks… let’s hope not.
        Things in the shot to allow “tracking”…believed by many conspiracy theorists but unless someone can show me proof, real proof, I seriously doubt it.

        All of this of course goes out the window if the new requirement is a tattoo on my right hand or forehead that has a time release antibody.

        Of course, I don’t anticipate being here for that.
