High Springs man charged with molesting young girl
Staff report
Updated on September 23 with bail information.
HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Kyle Durant Kirby, 31, has been charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under 16 years of age.
The incident was reportedly to High Springs Police Department in February after the victim told a family member that Kirby had touched her in a sexual manner.
The arrest report noted that the Department of Children and Families had previously investigated the victim’s family twice in 2024; however, DCF had not referred the family for services.
Kirby has a misdemeanor conviction for domestic battery from 2019.
A formal charge of lewd or lascivious molestation of a juvenile between the ages of 12 and 16 has been filed, and Kirby is being held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial. On September 23, Judge Denise Ferrero denied the motion and set bail at $25,000, with the condition that he have no unsupervised visits with minors.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Is it just me, or are half the arrests out of Springs County for pedophilia? The people in Springs County seem to divide their time roughly equally between complaining about the Alachua County government, and diddling children.
Thats not true. How many doctors and students at UF have been charged recently for child related sex crimes. Sex offenders come in all races and backgrounds. It’s a sick criminal behavior that never goes away or is treatable. Nice try at making a political statement.
Jazz, I mean Sammy, its just you…
Settle on one name already!
It seems it’s always the democrat liberals with their children having the sexual dysphoria.. you know, they let their children choose what sex they believe they are by how they feel, not what their biological sex is on their birth certificate…
and then you have that whole mess about having to have the extra bathrooms in public schools, and biological men playing women sports, etc.
“Liberalism is a mental disorder”…
Bear9765, it happens a lot in that area. I am not making a general statement; however this particular area has had many cases lately. Maybe it’s something in the water!
Once again political jabs don’t work. Especially since Springs County doesn’t exist. Over the summer of 2026 operation “Firewall”netted 16 arrests in Alachua County for sexual crimes against childern, Operation ” Get Em Gator”netted 30 arrests of known sex offenders. This shows no matter where you live there are people from all walks of life that commit sex crimes. We can trade names of people arrested for child related crimes for a week that live in Alachua County. All that shows is there are some really demented sex offenders that seemingly keep getting released to commit more crimes against kids instead of being locked away from a desire that has no cure.
Any person trying to spin child sexual abuse (or any child abuse) stats in order to favor their own politics, race, gender, socioeconomics, etc is a straight up bastard! How in the hell is this not the one issue that everyone coalesces around?

Could it be some support the behavior below with their votes. Recent talk of repealing the 19th amendment also shows how many in this group think. “Bastard” is an interesting epitaph for this topic, out of wedlock child…children don’t choose their parents.
I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York magazine in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported on a birthday message sent bearing Trump’s name for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003. According to the Journal, it contained an outline of a naked womanand a typed note that ended with the line: “Happy Birthday—and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
During Maxwell’s trial, Epstein’s longtime pilot testified that Trump flew on Epstein’s private plane multiple times. Trump has denied being on the plane.
In October 1996, he bought Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA. In an interview with Howard Stern in 2005, Trump bragged about his access to contestants, some of whom were as young as 14.
‘I’ll go backstage before a show and everyone’s getting dressed and ready and everything else and no men are anywhere … I’m allowed to go in because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it,’ Trump told Stern.
‘The girls are standing there with no clothes on, and so I sort of get away with things like that,’ he said.
In 2003, the Wall Street Journal reported, Epstein received a leather-bound volume of tributes from friends for his 50th birthday. A lewd message in the book was attributed to Trump, the paper reported. It ended: ‘Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.’ (Trump denied writing the letter and has sued the Wall Street Journal over the report.)
Invitado, another attempt to justify a sex offender by comparing him to Trump. You need to get a life.
