HSFD Firefighter/EMT creates cards for those affected by traumatic incidents

Staff report
HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Taking inspiration from his father, a retired firefighter in Illinois, High Springs Firefighter/EMT Kyle Livingston has created a sympathy card that can be given to families and bystanders who experience traumatic incidents, whether performing CPR on a loved one or witnessing a horrific accident.
The cards thank recipients for their willingness to help during a time of need and provide a link to resources if the Good Samaritan struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms or just needs to speak with someone to get some perspective.
The cards, which were created with the help of Renaissance Printing, will be placed in fire trucks and command vehicles.
The information provided by these much needed cards will be an immeasurable aid so many people who are often overlooked during a traumatic incident. Thank you for following through on your father brilliant idea.
