Jacksonville man arrested for 2024 armed robbery from Target

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Archtrezs Jaquel Frazier, 26, of Jacksonville, has been arrested for his role in a robbery from Target in July 2024 in which Frazier and his unknown co-defendant allegedly took about $1,200 in electronics and then threatened the Loss Prevention Officer with a baton-shaped electronic stun device when they were confronted.

Target’s Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) told a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officer that at about 4:10 p.m. on July 21, 2024, Frazier and his co-defendant selected electronics worth $1,254.85 and then walked out of the store without paying. When the two men were confronted by the LPO, the co-defendant displayed a baton-shaped stun device and said, “Don’t come any closer” to the LPO, who backed away out of fear of injury.

The LPO told the officer that both suspects wore surgical masks and that Frazier had been the one who selected the electronics and was carrying all of them when the pair left the store.

Target’s Regional LPO told a GPD detective that he had determined that one of the suspects was a repeat offender in the company’s Jacksonville stores, and he provided additional photos that showed distinctive tattoos, including one that matched a distinctive tattoo in photos from the Gainesville store. The GPD detective found Frazier’s Facebook account, along with booking photos and video from Jacksonville thefts, and confirmed that the same tattoo was found in all the pictures of Frazier.

Frazier has been charged with grand theft and armed robbery with a weapon other than a firearm or deadly weapon.. He has five felony convictions (none violent) and four misdemeanor convictions (none violent). Judge Meshon Rawls ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s office to hold him without bail until trial.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
