Juvenile charged as adult for stealing gun from vehicle

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Davon Mackel (aka Micale) Douglas, 17, has been charged as an adult with armed burglary for allegedly stealing a gun from a vehicle in January.
The Gainesville Police Department investigation found that on January 19, Douglas allegedly entered a vehicle in Woodland Park (200 block of SE 19th Place) and stole a Mossberg 715P pistol; because he allegedly possessed a firearm during the burglary, he was also charged with armed burglary and possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent.
Douglas, who told Court Services he is a student at A. Quinn Jones, has a juvenile history between 2023 and 2026 and one violent adult felony conviction in another county. Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $400,000.
