Obituary: W. Robert “Bob” Bratcher, 82

W. Robert “Bob” Bratcher, 82, of Hague, FL passed away on November 6, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Homosassa, FL to Woodrow and Eva Belle Bratcher on November 18, 1938.

Bob was a longtime resident of Alachua County. He was a Certified General Contractor and learned construction from his father. He went to work with Clark Butler at an early age and was instrumental in developing many shopping centers in Alachua County and then around Florida with Community Shopping Centers before returning to Alachua and consulting with Butler Enterprises until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, Yankees baseball, and puttering about his property. Bob was a founding member of The Summit Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Joanne Winters Bratcher, and his son, Mark Bratcher. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bratcher, daughter Laura Bratcher, son Eric Bratcher, brothers Larry Bratcher (Kathy) and Wayne Bratcher (Brenda), and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Bob to his favorite charities–St. Jude, Shriners, and The Summit Church of High Springs, FL. Bob’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Ministers and congregation of The Summit Church and Haven Hospice.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., and the funeral will be afterwards at The Summit Church, located at 210 NE Santa Fe Blvd., High Springs. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler, 386-496-2008
