GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Adam Lee Clemens, 33, and Mark Lance Irwin II, 36, were arrested last night and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly pointing guns at two different women.

Clemens and Irwin were reportedly in a verbal argument at Brookwood Terrace Apartments when Clemens allegedly pulled a gun from his car and pointed it at a woman. Irwin allegedly responded by taking a firearm from his residence and pointing it at a different woman. The incident was reportedly observed by several independent witnesses who provided statements to the responding Gainesville Police Department Officer.

The firearm that was allegedly displayed by Clemens could not be located; the firearm displayed by Irwin was reportedly found to be a BB gun that looked like a real firearm.

Clemens was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has one felony conviction from 2013; Judge Thomas Jaworski set bail at $2,000.

Irwin was also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has four felony convictions and served a 4.5-year state prison sentence for oxycodone trafficking; he was released in 2019. Judge Jaworski set bail at $2,000.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Dumb and dumber, I pity the damn fool that gets to meet his maker for pulling a BB gun on me.

  • Jaworski and others have to go. DeSantis needs to start clearing out more judges and lawyers who refuse to follow public safety and COMMON SENSE.

    • The judge set bail for these two losers at $2k…that’s better than ROR’d for these dumb dumbs..

      • One wonders what the judge would have set bail at had these two dimwits pointed a gun at him or his family.

  • So, I took my daughter to FSU and stopped in Alachua for McDonalds/Gas. It seemed like a lovely little town, until the Alachua Chronicle started showing up on the Microsoft Feed. Today there was a domestic battery story, a woman who stole $68K from her employer and another crime at a phone store. I’ll probably stop in Lakeland next time, as Alachua seems to have a SEEDY CRIMINAL UNDERSIDE….

    • Yeah if you were smart you would stay as far away from this town as possible, the judges and State Attorney’s office are all working in unison dropping charges and letting career criminals go in the name of equality.

    • Lakeland is no better. Winter Haven is already lost, and Lakeland will be as well before long.

  • how does that one guy tell where he is aiming….? Sounds like he might have a valid defense.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Big ole Tough guys Pulling guns on women… Bet he makes his wife work while he stays home and does drugs too
