Registration open for Fall 2026 Outer Space-themed Down to Dance series

Press release from Down to Dance

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Down to Dance is a University of Florida student organization that holds free weekly, in-person dance workshops for individuals of all ages and disabilities. Our choreography incorporates Arts in Medicine research to help strengthen cognitive functioning, motor skills, and social inclusion within the Gainesville community. Dance in Medicine-certified choreographers lead the semester series, during which dancers learn choreography and have the opportunity to perform in an end-of-semester recital. No prior dance experience is required.

Our Fall 2026 series begins September 20, with workshops held every Sunday from 3–4 p.m. on the University of Florida campus. The exact location will be shared with registered participants. This semester’s theme is Outer Space!

Due to increased interest, registration is limited to 20 dancers. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to secure their spot.
