SRWMD announces 2027 calendar photo contest

LIVE OAK, Fla. – In a continued effort to showcase the beauty and significance of our region’s natural resources, the Suwannee River Water Management District (District) is now accepting submissions for its annual photography competition. 

Winning photographs will be featured in the District’s 2027 calendar, which highlights the beauty of District-owned lands while showcasing the importance of conserving and protecting these special places. 

Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to capture the spirit of District-owned lands and share the natural beauty of our region. In addition to featuring stunning photographs, the calendar highlights District initiatives and other water management activities throughout the year. 

Photo submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. on September 25 to be considered. A panel of District employees will judge submissions during the month of October. Photos must be taken on District-owned property and include the image location in the submission. 

Thirteen photographs will be selected for the 2027 calendar – one cover photo and 12 monthly photos. Photographers whose work is selected will receive credit in the calendar, copies of the publication, and recognition for their work on the District’s social media platforms.
