HAWTHORNE, Fla. – Marco Paulo Neves-Barros, 20; Mateo Manuel Paredes-Vincent, 19; and a 15-year-old Massachusetts girl were arrested yesterday in the Campville area and charged with a Massachusetts carjacking.
On Wednesday, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ASO) received an alert that a Honda Civic stolen from New Bedford, MA, on February 28 was observed on U.S. Hwy 301 at the county line between Alachua County and Bradford County. The car was later observed near the intersection of U.S. Hwy 301 and CR 1474, where the car abruptly turned into a private residence and the passengers fled.
ASO established a perimeter in a large wooded area and employed their helicopter and multiple K-9 teams to search for the suspects.
The juvenile girl was detained and reportedly admitted that she participated with Neves-Barros and Paredes-Vincent in the carjacking.
The two men were located and were told to stop running, but they reportedly turned and ran back into the woods and were later apprehended.
Both men have been charged with grand theft of a vehicle and resisting arrest without violence. Neves-Barros has no criminal history; Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $75,000. Paredes-Vincent has out-of-state convictions in Massachusetts and Georgia and one felony conviction in Florida. He is on probation in St. Johns County for interference with custody of a minor; Judge Rawls set bail at $75,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
They saw the lights? From Boston? Through the fog we’ve been having?
You would think the City Idiots would turn them off to save some budget since they’re in dire need. Just further proof they don’t have a lick of cents.
Are they MS-13 members flown by DeSantis to Martha’s Vineyard, and boomeranging back here?
Tommy Two-tone and his boyfriend can now look forward to some major b¿+t-jacking 😄
Were the parents not concerned their daughter was missing?
Or should we ask, was the parent not concerned their daughter was missing?
Did the parent(s) not want their daughter?
I’ll tell you what was missing in ALL of their lives…DISCIPLINE.

Kind of off topic but I wonder why so many criminals subscribe to these hilariously absurd hair doos? Y’all notice how stupid so many of them wear their hair.
