Gators move on to face USF on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET in second round

No. 1-seeded Florida (21-2) defeated South Alabama (12-8), 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.

With their win, the Gators will move on to host South Florida on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The Bulls defeated Duke, 4-2, on Saturday to earn their spot in the second round.

It was a straightforward affair for UF on Saturday as the top-seeded outfit won the doubles point with victories on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts.

The top half of the Florida singles lineup paved the way for the dual match victory as Duarte Vale, Sam Riffice, and Andy Andrade won straight-set contests to send the Gators through to the next round.
