GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Stephanie Yuliana Cabrera, 35, was arrested last night for allegedly hitting and threatening to stab her boyfriend.
At about 9:38 p.m. on September 6, Gainesville Police Department officers responded to the 3500 block of SW 28th Terrace, where the victim said Cabrera had been drinking and was intoxicated; he said she became aggressive toward him, started an argument, and punched him in the head before grabbing a knife and threatening to stab him. He said he was in fear of being stabbed.
The victim said he took the knife from Cabrera and threw it away from her, and then Cabrera fled through a back window after he called 911.
Officers located Cabrera, and post Miranda, she reportedly said she had never had a knife and had never threatened the victim with a knife. When she was asked why she had left the residence, she said she thought the victim’s parents were on their way, and she didn’t want them to see her with the victim.
Cabrera, whose address is listed as Tallahassee, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery. She has one felony conviction (violent) and is on probation out of Leon County for willful child abuse. Judge Sheree Lancaster set bail at $30,000.
