Woman arrested for intentionally hitting victim with her car

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Danielle Monique Rivers, 25, was arrested this morning for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after hitting another woman with her vehicle.

At about 8:30 a.m. on November 1, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call about a domestic battery between Rivers and a woman she was dating.

The victim told the deputy that she was hit by Rivers’ vehicle and jumped on the hood to avoid being run over.

A witness reportedly said he heard yelling and saw the vehicle trying to run over the victim.

The victim reportedly grabbed the windshield wiper to avoid being thrown off the hood, and it broke off. The deputy reported that the victim still had the windshield wiper in her hand when he spoke to her.

Rivers has been charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She has two misdemeanor convictions (one violent); she was arrested in June 2025 for domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but the charge was later dropped. Her bail will be set tomorrow.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Hope the judge won’t look at her skin color and sexual preference, and will give a “justice is blind” sentence… (That’s a lot to ask around here though…)

  • If men can’t wear hats in booking photos, why do females get to wear wigs? (And a bad one at that!)
