NW91st Street is a Dirt Road that washes away with every hard rain, You complain of Potholes when we still dont have pavement in Rural Alachua
Maybe no more roads should be paved, until A.C. can figure out to maintain the ones they have?
Sage Blvd is partially owned by City of Alachua, and partially by CSX. Alachua County regularly graded this dirt road until the mid 90’s, then just quit. Now, the part owned by CSX is nothing but a death trap for vehicles. The is a washout in front of our house the we have literally seen an alligator in. No one will do anything to fix it, including FDOT. All we get is the run-around from everyone. City: “we don’t own, therefore we can’t expend city funds to fix it.” County:”we don’t own, therefore we can’t expend county funds to fix it.” CSX Railroad: “We fix railroad tracks, not roads.” No wonder people so angry these days. All government and corporations are nothing but evil, crooked, self-centered useless idiots. Bet if this road was in front of a commissioner’s house, it would get fixed.
You should take some of the rocks from the tracks and fill in the holes—that’ll get their attention.
You can write to the email they provide,BUT NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT THE POT HOLES YOU REPORT!😢
Betcha ‘lil Kenny doesn’t have any problems with the roads near his enclave.
It would be nice to kick his ‘lil arse in a pothole to help with filling it.

The “new” email address for reporting potholes is NOT new.
The email address is not new, they just want you to quit emailing bocc@alachuacounty.us
If you check the Commission email archive, recently they’re getting quite a few emails about potholes and car wheel damages. Please quit bothering the Commissioners, they are busy solving literacy and other important local problems like faulty AC at some important non profit organizations. Not to mention if you email a County Official about a pothole they (taxpayers) are on the hook for any vehicle damages or personal injuries. Emails to the Commission also create unwanted public records! /s

So….the roads are broke and need fixing yet, all we continue to receive is pothole patch jobs when the whole damn road needs replacing?
The new machine they have, “half arse”, that paves a 4 foot wide strip of lumpy asphalt is not very good at making a smooth surface. The county attempted multiple repairs using this machine which now looks like a patchwork horror that caused even more holes to form where the patch meets the existing 50 year old pavement. I guess I will have to buy a vehicle with tires and wheels large enough to negate the bumpy ride in this county.
