Chuck Clemons retiring; Santa Fe College opens search for VP for Advancement

Press release from Santa Fe College

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Santa Fe College has launched a nationwide search for its next fundraising leader.

The Vice President for Advancement and Chief Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for executing a strategic vision that establishes and implements an annual growth strategy that encompasses major and planned gifts, annual giving, sponsorships, special events, and donor engagement. Additionally, this individual will cultivate key donors and prospects, while developing a robust alumni donor base.

The new Vice President will take over for current VP Charles W. “Chuck” Clemons, who is retiring after more than 17 years of service to the college. Under his leadership, the college expanded scholarship opportunities. The Santa Fe College Foundation now awards more than $1.6 million in student scholarships annually. VP Clemons was instrumental in raising funds and support to help support several capital projects and expand a multitude of educational and academic opportunities to citizens throughout the service district.

The college is utilizing the services of the consulting firm AGB Search. This is the same firm that assisted in the search that led to the hiring of President Broadie and, more recently, Provost Nate Southerland.

Information about the search is available online at sfcollege.edu/hr/search/vp-advancement.html.

    • Yes, the State pension system is one of the best. It is a shame that pensions, which were frequently available in the private sector, are no longer common. They remain common in other first-world countries.

  • Chuckie has done enough damage. I sincerely wish him well as he fades off into the sunset as the rest of us clean up his messes.

    • With Keith Perry term-limited the same as Clemons, speculation is Clemons will run for Perry’s senate seat.

    • Why dont you put in for Clemons job. Maybe you can do better since you think he made such a mess.
