It’s easy to donate to Alachua Chronicle!

We want our readers to share stories with family, friends, and neighbors in order to keep local residents informed about local government and events in our community. That’s why we are a subscription-free news service with no paywalls. Unfortunately, reporting the news is not free, especially when you consider the number of meetings our local governments hold every week, not to mention investigative articles that require public records requests and background research. A predictable income stream, powered by your donations, allows us to plan for future growth.

We encourage regular readers to set up a recurring monthly payment as if it were a newspaper subscription. A Gainesville Sun subscription was over $50/month four years ago, but any amount helps. Because of processing fees, a single annual donation is better than small monthly donations that add up to the same amount. That said, we’re glad to take donations in any amount. We have several options to make it easy.

You can make one-time or recurring donations through Revere Payments with a credit or debit card by clicking the image below. Revere Payments was founded for the purpose of protecting U.S. companies’ rights to do business.

You can also make payments using PayPal (one-time or recurring) or Venmo (@alachuachronicle) by clicking either image below. If you currently have a recurring donation set up with PayPal, you do not need to do anything if you want it to continue.

If you don’t trust payment processors, you can also mail a check to Alachua Chronicle, P.O. Box 344, Alachua, FL 32616, or send a monthly check using the bill payment service on your bank’s website.

Whatever method or amount you choose, we thank you for your contribution. We do not offer refunds for donations. If you set up a recurring donation using the credit card link above, you can stop it at any time by contacting us at info@alachuachronicle.com. Alachua Chronicle does not store any of your payment information; it is handled by the payment processor you decide to use.

Donations to Alachua Chronicle are not tax-deductible.
