12th Annual ARTSPEAKS: “Bringing Poetry & People Together” to be held Sept. 8

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 12th Annual ARTSPEAKS: “Bringing Poetry & People Together” will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Historic Thomas Center (302 NE 6th Avenue).

This annual community event is free and open to the public, featuring local/regional literary and visual artists in a Celebration of Expression through Poetry, Spoken-Word Performance, and Storytelling.

This event is hosted by Alachua County Poet Laureate E.Stanley Richardson.

Each participant will have 5 minutes to perform their expression.

Featured artists will also have books, art, chapbooks, CDs, and other merchandise for purchase.
Light refreshments will be served.

This event is co-sponsored by the City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and
Cultural Affairs, a CAPRA accredited agency.
