“The Alachua County Health Department has indicated that they do not see any reason for us to close our other locations at this time and recognizes the essential community service we provide by caring for children of first responders and healthcare workers.

“We do not take the decision to stay open lightly. We have been asked by many businesses, health professionals, government departments, and child care agencies to remain open. Many of our parents are the leaders and workers who will guide us through this current crisis including doctors, nurses, health care professionals, lab technicians, scientists, first responders, government officials, sanitation workers, service professionals, and our grocery store clerks & managers. Staying open and safely caring for the children of parents who must work is our way of contributing to our community‚Äôs response to this unprecedented crisis.”
