GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Community Foundation of North Central Florida is set to make a significant impact on the local community with the announcement of grant recipients from its two giving circles: the Women’s Giving Circle and the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR) Giving Circle.

Designated as the “Day of Impact,” May 23 will mark the culmination of the philanthropic efforts of these giving circles, as they unveil the recipients of their grants.

The Women’s Giving Circle, now in its 18th year of giving, will be awarding a total of $130,000, with $100,000 allocated for an Impact Grant aimed at fostering economic empowerment for women and girls. An additional $30,000 will be distributed through general grants, furthering the circle’s commitment to supporting various community initiatives.

Meanwhile, the GACAR Giving Circle will be granting $50,000 toward the Hearts for Housing Impact Grant, as well as $15,000 for the Brick by Brick Housing Grant, in their inaugural year. The GACAR Giving Circle focuses its efforts on homelessness prevention, housing, and housing education.

“We are thrilled to announce the recipients of these impactful grants,” said Barzella Papa, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of North Central Florida. “Through the collective efforts of our giving circles, we are able to address pressing issues and make a real difference in the lives of those in our community.”
