31-year-old Monique Wilson was arrested yesterday on sexual battery charges on a 16-year-old female victim.

According to the arrest report, Wilson stated during a post-Miranda interview that she had gone to a pizza restaurant on SW 34th Street at around 11:30 p.m. on November 13, and the victim also arrived at the restaurant at about that time and proceeded to “‘hang out’ in a casual manner” with Wilson. Wilson admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages at the restaurant, and she said she also observed the victim consuming beer.

Wilson said that when they were done at the restaurant, they drove in separate cars to an apartment in a complex on SW 75th Street, where they went together into a bedroom and allegedly engaged in sexual activity. Wilson told the officer that she thought the victim was 20 years old, but it was later discovered that she was a juvenile. The victim was later found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.205, along with traces of cannabis.

Wilson has been charged with sexual battery by a person older than 24 years old on a victim who is 16 or 17 years old.
