$500,000 Summer Programming RFP Released by the Children’s Trust
Press release from Children’s Trust of Alachua County
The Board of the Children’s Trust of Alachua County authorized the release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for up to $500,000 in new money for summer activities for Alachua County children.
“The Trust heard the voice of the people and provided money so that more kids can enjoy this summer by learning, exploring, engaging, improving skills, and having fun,” said Colin Murphy, Executive Director of the Children’s Trust of Alachua County.
The Summer Programming RFP was influenced by the report, “Ensuring the Summer Thrive,” conducted by the Youth Development Research-Practice Partnership of the University of Florida for the Children’s Trust.
The Summer Programming RFP will support service providers by hosting the Bidders Conference and Training on March 11, 2021. Detailed information is provided in the RFP document found on the CTAC website https://www.childrenstrustofalachuacounty.us/rfps.Â
The Board of the Children’s Trust previously approved two other RFPs also found on the website. They include:
- Matching Funds, up to $300,000, to leverage Federal, State, and private revenue opportunities to bring new resources to the County, and
- Sponsorship Funds, up to $20,000, to help support some types of community-based events like service/cultural fairs, special needs resource events, health education events, educational events, school readiness events, and conferences.
The Children’s Trust of Alachua County provides children’s services throughout Alachua County.
