5th Annual Santa Fe Springs Plein Air Paintout will be held April 13-15, with the exhibit open from April 16 through May 21, 2022, at Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies, 23645 W US Hwy 27, High Springs FL 32643.

What is plein air? The French term plein air means out of doors and refers to the practice of painting entire finished pictures out of doors. The public can observe the artists painting the springs from Wednesday to Friday and then view the exhibit of all the finished works of the artists starting Saturday, April 16, with an artist’s reception from 4-7 p.m. in the gallery. 

2022 Plein Air artists include Cleetus Shaiju Antony, Frank Barone, Nancy Betty, Eleanor Blair, Patrice Boyes, Steven Bradbury, Stacey Breheny, Diane Brody, Tina Corbett, Michèle Karahalios, Scott Lamp, Karen LeMonnier, Tim Malles,  Karen Ileta Miller, Robin Popp, Valarie Pothier-Forrester, Dana Queen, Angela Ransone Hyland, Peter Senesac, Jordan Shapot, Mary O Smith, and Nika Zakharov.

Artist Plein Air painting locations:

Wednesday, April 13 – Rum Island Springs County Park, 1447 SW Rum Island Terrace, Fort White FL. (Entrance fee currently waived)

Thursday, April 14 – Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park, 7450 NE 60th St High Springs, FL. (Entrance fee $4 per person, $6 per car)

Friday, April 15 – O’Leno State Park, 410 SE O’Leno Park Road, High Springs, FL. (Entrance fee $4 per person, $5 per car)

Exhibit dates are Saturday, April 16, to May 21 at Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies, 23645 W US Hwy 27, High Springs FL 32643.
