9th Annual Gainesville Indoor Pickleball Showcase returns to benefit ElderCare of Alachua County

Press release from Touching Hearts at Home

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 9th Annual Gainesville Indoor Pickleball Showcase hosted by the Gainesville Sports Commission and presented by Touching Hearts at Home will return this August for one of Florida’s premier pickleball tournaments, bringing hundreds of athletes and spectators to Gainesville while raising funds for ElderCare of Alachua County. The 2026 showcase will take place August 8 & 9, 2026. The tournament’s Title Sponsor is CampusUSA Credit Union.

The two-day tournament will once again be held indoors at the Alachua County Sports & Event Center at Celebration Pointe, where players from across Florida and throughout the Southeast will compete in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles competitions. New to the tournament this year is the addition of a wheelchair doubles bracket. The tournament will follow USA Pickleball rules. All levels of pickleball players – even those who have never competed in a tournament – are welcome to participate. Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded in each division. Tournament operations will be led by the Gainesville Sports Commission, and if any individual is unsure which level to register for, they are welcome to contact the tournament director, Emily Grissom, who can help them navigate.

The Gainesville Indoor Pickleball Showcase has become one of the region’s oldest and largest indoor pickleball tournaments. Now in its ninth year, the tournament has also become a charitable signature event. Through the promotional partnership between the Gainesville Sports Commission and Touching Hearts at Home, proceeds from the tournament benefit ElderCare of Alachua County, helping support vital programs and services for seniors throughout our community.

To register, please visit https://app.pickleballden.com/external-tournament/7150653. A flash sale will take place July 1-July 8, 2026 in honor of Independence Day. Participants can take advantage of a limited time discount, and $10 of every entry will still be donated to ElderCare of Alachua County. Registration closes on July 29 at 11:59PM EST.

“Pickleball is more than the fastest-growing sport in America—it’s an opportunity to bring our community together for a greater purpose,” said Christina Ramos, Executive Director and Administrator of Touching Hearts at Home. “Every registration, sponsorship, volunteer, and spectator helps make a difference in the lives of local seniors. We are incredibly grateful to the Gainesville Sports Commission, our community sponsors, volunteers, and players for continuing to support ElderCare of Alachua County, year after year.”

Since partnering together to make the tournament a charitable event, the Gainesville Sports Commission and Touching Hearts at Home have raised and donated thousands of dollars to local non-profits including the Alzheimer’s Association and ElderCare of Alachua County. In addition to a portion of tournament registrations, sponsorships, beverage sales, raffles, and other fundraising activities throughout the weekend help maximize the tournament’s impact for local seniors.

Tournament organizers anticipate another exciting weekend of competitive pickleball while welcoming athletes of all ages and skill levels to Gainesville.

The Gainesville Sports Commission and Touching Hearts at Home would like to thank the many sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners whose generosity makes this event possible. Their continued support gives back to seniors in our community.
