Gainesville man arrested for hitting four small children out of anger

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jordan Terrell Banks, 24, was arrested yesterday for allegedly hitting four small children out of anger.
At about 1:53 p.m. on July 19, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a residence where the caller reportedly provided a video that showed Banks hitting three of the children “needlessly.” The deputy reported that the video showed Banks “forcefully” hitting a one-year-old child on the back of her head, causing her to hit her head against the couch; the video also showed Banks hitting a three-year-old child on the head and then walking over to a two-year-old child and hitting her across the back with enough force that she fell. The caller said Banks had also hit a five-year-old child.
The deputy reported that the children had no visible injuries.
Post Miranda, Banks reportedly admitted to hitting the children “without discipline in mind” and said he “acted out of anger”; he also said he knew it was wrong to hit the children, and he should not have hit them that way.
Banks has been charged with four counts of domestic battery and four counts of child abuse without great bodily harm. His full criminal history is unavailable, but he has no local adult convictions. Judge Susan Miller-Jones ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.

“It takes a village…”? The article doesn’t mention anything about a mother and a father…
he’s not the daddy and a “ caller provided video”.. where’s the mother?
For all those looking for work, look at the holes in this story, No Relationship of accused to Kids, No Justification for social warrior willing to send video recordings , but who let what was supposed to be Criminal Happen without stopping it, which is also a crime, it’s almost as if it was written by some high school student. So Students if editors hire those less skilled then You, Time to Earn some creds and get to work and replace people who can’t complete a sentence or story.
It is customary to redact relationships in arrest reports involving juvenile victims to protect the identity of the victims. Thus, significant chunks of the narrative are unavailable to the reporter.

I am so surprised to see him in a mugshot. I know him through a common friend. That man was very courteous and respectful. I know DCF has some rules and exceptions for this. I think we cannot judge the actions, even if he says he did it. I hope the truth can come after all. I know he is a very hard worker. There is always somebody who gets the worst of us.
Imagine, 4 kids and one on the way. Why, if he showed before (if applicable) aggressiveness she still getting pregnant not one or two, but 5!
Nice tax-free paycheck comes to mind. Next best thing to a lawsuit, or insurance payout (conditional of course)—the latter you don’t have to share with kids.
How about keeping it in his pants, or using birth control? He shouldn’t be reproducing if he isn’t ready to take care of the kids.

You can take the culture of child abuse and make a strong connection to how many people of said culture are in jail. Racism is NOT as some like to use as a diversion.
