A legacy worth celebrating: Mt. Carmel Baptist Church marks 129 years of faith, family, and fellowship

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Mt. Carmel Baptist Church is joyfully celebrating its 129th Anniversary, honoring over a century of worship, community, and service. This year’s theme, “A Legacy Worth Celebrating: 129 Years of Faith, Family & Fellowship,” reflects the church’s ongoing mission to share the Gospel, strengthen families, and build lasting connections.

The celebration will include a special Anniversary Worship Service on Sunday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 2505 NE 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.

“Our church has been a cornerstone for generations,” said Sr. Pastor Destin L. Williams of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. “This is a time to reflect on our rich history and look forward with faith.”
