ACFR responds to accident with entrapment near Archer

Units from Alachua County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle accident with entrapment at 3:30 p.m. today at County Road 241 (SW 170th Street) and US Highway 41, just north of the city of Archer. Engine 82 arrived on scene to find one patient entrapped in a sedan. The patient was removed using the Jaws of Life and transported to UF Health Shands Trauma Center in Gainesville as a trauma alert. Alachua County Fire Rescue would like to remind all drivers to wear a seatbelt while operating or riding in a motor vehicle.
