Alachua Conservation Trust to host Ice Cream Social at Rockwood Park on May 28
Press release from Alachua Conservation Trust
Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) will host Ice Cream in the Park on May 28 at Rockwood Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This event will be an opportunity to socialize with members of the community, learn more about ACT, and enjoy the warm weather with ice cream outdoors. Ice Cream in the Park is free and open to the public. The ice cream will be provided by ACT, and vegan options will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to this family-friendly event.
Donald Lee and Virginia Joanne Rockwood Park is a 1-acre urban park that opened in 2015 and is conserved by ACT. The park features a “Little Free Library” where community members can take a book or share a book, an outdoor fitness equipment station, and benches alongside its open green space.
“ACT is happy to bring back our Ice Cream in the Park event this year and get the chance to kick off the summer with the community!” said Ema Olmos, ACT Conservation Events Coordinator.
Rockwood Park is located at 2221 NW 22nd Street in Gainesville, Florida 32605. Street parking is available near the park. Please do not block private driveways.
