Alachua County Farmers Market moves to San Felasco Tech City starting January 3
Press release from Alachua County Farmers Market
ALACHUA, Fla. – Alachua County Farmers Market, the oldest operating farmers market in the area, celebrates over 50 years supporting local growers in a new location, starting January 3, 2026: San Felasco Tech City (13900 Tech City Cir, Alachua, just a few miles north of the old location on U.S. Hwy 441)
To welcome the community into its new home, the market will be offering FREE culinary tastings and organic gardening workshops starting in January.
During the month of January, our jam makers, beekeepers, pickle makers, sprouts growers, and bakers will offer a variety of snack tastings and will share culinary tips to use them in healthy and delicious ways.
In February, at the start of the spring growing season here in north central Florida, market growers will be offering gardening workshops focused on growing ornamentals, butterfly gardens, vegetables, and herbs in small spaces, such as backyards and patios. Topics such as organic pest control, composting, and container gardening will be presented by experienced local growers.
In addition, produce, meat and other vendors will be raffling off FREE packages of their products throughout January, to encourage the community to add the new San Felasco location to their Saturday morning routine. All produce, meats, eggs, dairy, seafood, plants, and honey at the Alachua County Farmers Market is locally grown. That means it’s fresher, healthier, better for the environment and energy use, and better for the community, as every dollar you spend on local food stays in the area and benefits local business.
