Alachua County Poet Laureate to hold poetry reading at Heartwood Soundstage on August 20

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Poet Laureate E. Stanley Richardson will read new and selected poems at a Community Night at Heartwood Soundstage on Wednesday, August 20, accompanied by Emmanuel Garilus (saxophone), Michelle Johnson (vocals), David Singletary (keyboard), and Wester Joseph (guitar).

In “Since I Laid My Burden Down,” E. Stanley Richardson will blend poetry, music, and melody, creating a unique, rhythmic, and engaging listening experience for audiences. 

The free event will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, at Heartwood Soundstage (619 S. Main Street).
