Alachua County Public Schools’ Parent Empowerment Summit to focus on cyber safety

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Families can learn more about how to keep their children and other family members safe online at the upcoming Parent Empowerment Summit set for Tuesday, October 25, at Newberry High School (400 SW 258th Street in Newberry).

The summit will begin with a community resource fair from 5 to 6 p.m. that will feature community agencies sharing information about the services they offer. Free meals will be provided for the first forty people in attendance.

Experts from local law enforcement and the school district will then share information and answer questions about cyber safety from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The cyber safety presentation will also be live-streamed on YouTube. The direct link is:
