Alachua County Supervisor of Elections to conduct its annual high school education program virtually

Because of ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office is conducting its annual high school education program virtually this year, beginning on Jan. 11. A member of the Supervisor of Elections’ team will present to public high schools online. The Supervisor of Elections has conducted an annual school outreach program since 1993.
In Florida, prospective voters can pre-register beginning at 16. When a pre-registered voter turns 18, his or her voter registration activates automatically.
As part of its annual school outreach program, the Supervisor of Elections Office will present to the following schools on the following dates:
- Jan. 11: Newberry High School, Eastside High School, Buchholz High School, Loften High School
- Jan. 12: Hawthorne Middle/High School
- Jan. 13: Santa Fe High School
- Jan. 14: Gainesville High School
