Alachua eSchool student charged as adult in Eastside HS bomb threat

Reginald Javon Copeland, 16, has been charged as an adult in connection with a bomb threat made at Eastside High School on October 6.
Copeland was first arrested on October 6. He has now been moved to the Alachua County Jail and charged as an adult with making a false report of a bomb threat and sending a written threat to kill.
Copeland has been assigned a public defender and remains in the Jail on bond of $20,000. When he is released, he will need to comply with mental health treatment recommendations; not return to Eastside High School;Â possess no weapons or firearms; possess or consume no alcohol or illegal drugs; report to a probation officer within 24 hours of release; have no access to the internet or social media (an exception for virtual school is crossed out); and wear a GPS monitor. He has a pending juvenile battery case and a juvenile history from 2019 to 2021.
