Alachua Habitat for Humanity: Hall of Framers fundraiser returns February 21st to The Swamp

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua Habitat for Humanity will host its annual Hall of Framers fundraising event on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Touchdown Terrace at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The event brings together community leaders, partners, and supporters for an evening dedicated to advancing affordable homeownership opportunities for families in Alachua County.

Proceeds from Hall of Framers will directly support Alachua Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope through safe, stable, and affordable housing. The evening will feature live and silent auctions, special guests, and power stories highlighting the impact of Habitat’s work and the partnerships that make it possible.

The evening will be emceed by former Florida Gators linebacker and fan favorite James “Batesy” Bates, who will also serve as the live auctioneer. A member of the 1996 National Championship team, Batesy is known throughout Gator Nation for his larger-than-life personality, creativity, and humor, as well as his work in sports broadcasting, teaching, and art. With his signature energy and heart for the community, he will guide guests through the evening’s program and help spotlight the collective effort behind every Habitat home.

Hall of Framers will feature remarks from former Florida Gators linebacker Brandon Spikes, a University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame inductee and recognized Gator Great. A key leader of the program’s national championship era, Spikes currently serves as Director of Player Development for the University of Florida’s GatorMade program, where he mentors student athletes and supports their leadership and personal growth.

The evening will also include appearances by Florida Victorious Football student athletes, including Myles Graham, Jadan Baugh, LJ McCray, Tramell Jones, Jaden Robinson, Joseph Mbatchou, Myles Johnson, Will Griffin, Brendan Bett, Jalen Wiggins, and Aaron Philo. Their presence highlights the continued partnership between Gator athletics and Alachua Habitat for Humanity and a shared commitment to giving back to the Gainesville community.
