AM/FM Festival draws 700 attendees to Downtown Gainesville

Press release from AM/FM Festival

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hundreds of music fans filled the streets of Downtown Gainesville on Sunday, Feb. 22, as the AM/FM Festival returned for its second consecutive year with a free, all-ages celebration of local music.

The festival drew an estimated 700 attendees throughout the day across its three venues – The Bull, Loosey’s, and How Bazar – a 17% increase from last year’s revival event, which brought the AM/FM Festival back after a decade-long hiatus.

This year’s lineup of 28 acts saw all but two performers – indie rock bands Trustfall and The Nancys – make their AM/FM debut. The free event brought new sounds and faces from across Gainesville’s diverse music scene together, ranging from local staples to emerging talent like Ghost Rat, a punk duo whose members are just 13 years old.

AM/FM partnered with 13 local music organizations to build this year’s lineup, each selecting three bands and three solo artists they wanted to see take the stage. This community-driven model represented the sound of Gainesville in 2026.
