April Art Walk Celebrates Plein Air & More in downtown High Springs

The seasonal monthly Art Walk returns to downtown historic High Springs on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, from noon to 5 p.m.

The event features local artists gracing sidewalks and storefronts, with some locations featuring live painting and demonstrations. Art Walk highlights High Springs’ walkable, charming small-town hospitality.

This seasonal monthly event is an opportunity for local artisans and artists to demonstrate and display their talents and offer their works for sale in storefronts throughout the downtown area. Participating host merchants also offer specials and sales during the event.

April 16th Art Walk exhibits, workshops, and celebrations include:

  • Featured artist is Karen Nelmes of Land and Sea Meet Sky with her hand forged and handmade gemstone jewelry, who will be located in front of High Springs Creamery, 23629 W Hwy 27
  • Good News Arts will host a Book Arts and Book Making workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in their new location at 18555 High Springs Main Street
  • High Springs Creates, 23625 W US Hwy 27, will feature Pop Up with The Plant Plugs, Turkey Roost Nursery, and Rivers of Humanity, as well as apothecary, crystals, jewelry, and all natural body products
  • Santa Fe Springs Plein Air exhibit of 22 artists opens at 11 a.m. and closes Art Walk with an artist’s reception from 4-7 p.m. at Lanza Gallery & Supplies, 23645 W US Hwy 27

Look for Art Walk to continue in 2022 with more artists and makers throughout the year. Upcoming dates for Art Walks are May 21, June 18, October 15, November 19, and December 17, 2022.
