Area businesses, organizations to be honored for enhancing Gainesville’s urban landscape

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City Beautification Board will recognize area businesses and organizations for their commitment to enhancing Gainesville’s urban environment at the 2025 Gainesville Beautification Awards Ceremony.

When: 5:30-7 p.m. on Wed., April 23

Where: The Historic Thomas Center, 302 NE 6th Ave.

Each year, the advisory board honors businesses and organizations working to making Gainesville more beautiful. Award recipients will be selected in categories: Commercial & Community Hubs; Community Initiatives, Non-Profit; Public Amenities; and Public Art.

The board works to address the environmental and aesthetic concerns of the community by promoting and encouraging stewardship; improvement and maintenance of community assets; coordinated planning and supportive beautification programs; and excellence in design.
