ASO finds vehicle of man suspected of shooting Daytona Beach police officer

Sheriff Clovis Watson Jr. is pleased to report that on Saturday, June 26, deputies located and recovered the vehicle involved in the shooting of the Daytona Beach Police Officer, which occurred earlier in the week, in the parking lot of the Tower Road Home Depot. The vehicle was towed to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, where it will be turned over to the Daytona Beach Police Department and processed by Forensics for evidence purposes.
We are grateful to be able to assist our fellow law enforcement community in resolving this case and also grateful to those who provided information and assistance that lead to the discovery of the car.
The suspect, Othal Wallace, was arrested early Saturday morning in Georgia.
