ASO videos from Waldo shooting available

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office has released two videos from the shooting incident in Waldo on Sunday night, which resulted in the death of a young mother of 8 and injury to a 36-year-old man.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this incident, and they are seeking help from anyone who may have any information.

One video is from the dash camera of a responding unit, showing cars on the roadway and people in the street.  There is no video of the actual incident, as deputies were out on foot away from their cars and deputies do not have body cameras.

The second video is from the helicopter that arrived after the shooting; many of the citizens had left the area at that time.
